Synopsis
Producers synopsis
Around the beginning of winter, Hae-Jin, an animal-lover, volunteers to work with the predatory animal department at the zoo. Hae-Jin treats each animal like her own brother and sister referring to each by name. During her work at the zoo, Hae-Jin witnesses many of her animal friends become ill and die within the cages of the zoo. 2-month-old tiger cub, Krane is also weak and unhealthy due to being a product of inbreeding. But there is nothing Hae-Jin can do for these creatures. On a snowy day, Hae-Jin leaves the zoo for the last time and Krane cries unceasingly after her. Young-Jun is a veterinarian who volunteers in rescuing wild animals. He begins to question the future of the ecosystem as he witnesses countless numbers of animals injured or dead from gunshot wounds and man-laid traps. In his spare time, Young-Jun searches mountains, hills and rivers for traces of animal life. He finds that each track, even an excrement hidden under tree leaves are precious beyond words.
