Synopsis
Are the United States becoming an overcontrolled police-state, governed by multinationals? Are citizens being reduced to registered numbers? According to the growing group of well trained and armed patriots, they are.
These patriots are a civilian-movement, military dressed and trained and specialised in survival. They first stood up in public after the Waco-incident, where the federal authorities, with an exaggerated display of power, intervened in a local problem. This display became the symbol of resistence against the growing interference of the government. Despite the fact that their names are often mentioned along with the Oklahoma bombing, the patriots have grown to 15,000,000 organised members and it's estimated that a quarter of the American population has the same feeling of unease about the governments interference.
In Washington we filmed The Boys in Washington establishment, to find out how to join in. Who are these young and upcoming men and women who all have a dream of becoming the future president? They work very hard for governors and senators in the hope that one day they might be at the receiving end.
