Synopsis

In the Netherlands, Eeuwig Leevende Teekens (1941) tried to establish that Dutch culture was in fact Germanic. This documentary complemented an exhibition of the same name in The Hague. An ode to the supposed roots of Dutch culture, accompanied by Beethoven's Pastorale.
