July 30: Queerama in FC Hyena (free outdoor screening!)

Specially for Pride 2019, IDFA and FC Hyena present a free open-air screening of Queerama. The film tells the extraordinary story of gay acceptance and emancipation in 20th century England. Admission is free!

Queerama is made up entirely of archival footage from the British Film Institute, the treasure trove of British film and television history. You see the fears, desires, relationships and oppression of homosexual men and women, and how they have been depicted in films and television in both fiction and documentaries - from stereotypical representations to candid interviews.

The film will be shown in the gorgeous setting of the FC Hyena waterfront in Amsterdam Noord. If weather permits, join us at the barbecue.
