Call for submissions: IDFA’s markets

    We are now accepting submissions for IDFA Forum and Docs for Sale! Read more about our two film markets and how to submit below. The submission deadline for IDFA Forum is August 15; the submission deadline for Docs for Sale is September 15.

    IDFA Forum

    For our world-class co-financing and co-production market IDFA Forum, producers with documentary projects (one-offs and series) looking for co-producers, funds, television and platform commissions, distribution, or a combination of these, are encouraged to submit. We are also looking for immersive/interactive new media projects in all stages of production for our newly expanded IDFA DocLab Forum.

    Docs for Sale

    For our premier sales market Docs for Sale, we are looking for international, creative documentaries that target cinema, television, and online audiences.

    Get familiarized with everything Docs to Sale has to offer (both online and offline), read the regulations, and learn how to submit here. The Docs for Sale entry form is now available through MyIDFA in the section My Entries. The deadline for Docs for Sale submissions is September 15.

    • Docs for Sale facilitates sales of high-end documentaries by bringing together all interested parties together under one roof. Over the years, it has grown into one of the world’s premier markets for documentary cinema. Docs for Sale welcomes artistic documentaries from all over the world, and is open to films that target cinema, television, and online audiences.

    • To submit your film to Docs for Sale, please fill out the entry form in MyIDFA. Be sure to read our regulations carefully before continuing to the entry form. Please note the submission deadline was September 15, 2021.

    • IDFA Forum is one of the most influential meeting places for filmmakers, creators, and producers working on ground-breaking creative documentaries and new media projects.

    • IDFA Forum 2021 will be a live event on site. We very much look forward to hosting a physical market in Amsterdam that welcomes professionals and film teams to attend in person. To accommodate Forum guests who are unable to travel, we also offer the possibility of online participation.
