In this diary-style documentary, Varda takes a young and pregnant woman as her point of departure to shed light on the Parisian Rue Mouffetard. When she made L‘OPÉRA-MOUFFE, Varda was pregnant herself. For two months, she walked around with her camera and experienced the sleazy market district very differently than before. She captured her susceptibility to depravity and ugliness in an impressionistic style.
