Eva has been in the Psychiatric Hospital of Palma for six years. Cigarettes and a few conversations help time pass, but they are not enough. After a long year of waiting, the news arrives: there is a supervised flat available for her.
Eva takes the first steps towards the "normal" life she is longing for: a house, a job, meeting again her mother and a lover. However, her dream is knowing if she will be able to reunite with her son again and have his forgiveness, after ten years of silence.
The First Woman is a film about second chances, the search for "normality" and the borderline between lucidity and darkness.
