Young boys playing football - quite a normal picture really. But this team in the Beit Jala refugee camp in Palestine is losing its players over and over again - they are either arrested by Israeli soldiers or recruited by Palestinian "militants". And yet the boys continue to play football because it is integral to their will to survive. They rarely win anymore though, ever since their centre forward, Kifar, was shot by Israeli soldiers. Kifar was only fourteen years old. Another boy, Mohammed, was arrested on the first night of Ramadan by Israelis, who took him to the Gush Etzion interrogation camp. Mohammed spent fifty days there in isolation. He was sixteen, when he was brought to the Ofer camp. After spending more than two years in captivity, Mohammed still does not know why he was arrested.
