n.a.
For three years, between 1999 and 2001, director Vincent Bourre collected images and sounds. The chronological montage he has created from these shows the progress of his way of looking through the camera. There is no story; Bourre captures memories and thereby automatically the method of capturing itself. At times, the recordings strike us as amateurish, or old-fashioned, or experimental. Bourre mixed super-8, hi-8 and digital video, using them mainly outdoors. In part, his film is also a personal travelogue; Bourre visited the United States, Canada, Italy and France. He films people around him, people waiting on a street corner, walking feet in the street, a solitary walker on the beach. He also shows a preference for detailed recordings and shots of patterns; for example those he comes across in an elevator
