They look like ordinary Americans. And that is precisely what they are. But all three of them live in the shadow of their children’s shocking atrocity: school shootings. Sue Klebold is the mother of one of the two boys who in 1999 committed one of the worst school shootings in history at Columbine High School and ended it with taking his own life. Jeff and Clarence’s sons will spend most of their lives in prison, while they themselves will spend the rest of their time on earth looking for an explanation. What went wrong? Who is responsible? How do you move on?
