Robert Webster is Dutch. Gabryela Wasowicz is Polish. They met in Poland in 1967, where Webster went to complete his studies at the Art Academy of Warsaw. The images of Warsaw were etched in his memory, and later re-emerged in his art. Robert and Gabryela left Poland in 1969 and returned in 1986 for an exhibition of their work in Warsaw. Director Andrzej Popuzinski conceived the idea of making a filmpoem about this couple, their memories of Poland and the events that followed. Shot in Poland and Holland, this creative documentary captures the atmosphere surrounding the artists and records their thoughts and motivations.
