João Inada is an XR director and producer based in Rio de Janeiro. As a Ford Foundation and Open Society Foundation grantee, he has directed and produced impact content for diverse platforms and media outlets such as The Guardian and Al Jazeera.
A former researcher at the Brown Institute for Media Innovation, a joint Columbia/Stanford University innovative media lab, Inada had his directorial debut with the VR experience Reframe Iran, exhibited in 4 different continents and winner of the WVRF best VR experience in 2015. He is currently premiering his VR non-fiction experience, Under the Skin (Na Pele), part of the IDFA DocLab Forum 2019, at this year's IDFA DocLab Competition.
Margaux Missika is a Paris based web producer. She has been working at webdesign studio and production company Upian for the past ten years, producing interactive documentaries and online innovative contents. She worked on various projects, including Prison Valley, Alma, a Tale of Violence, Do Not Track, Generation What? and Earn a Living. Most of these projects have been coproduced by Arte, France Television or international public broadcasters and have received prestigious international awards including the World Press Photo Multimedia Award, Peabody Award, and awards at IDFA Doclab, Sheffield Docfest, and Tribeca Film Festival.
Margaux is involved in different funding commissions for the CNC. She has been a founding member and the president of PXN until 2017 and is still an active board member of the digital producers’ association.
Janine Steele is an experienced producer and content manager working at the confluence of linear filmmaking and emerging medias and technologies. She currently works with the English Digital Studio at the National Film Board of Canada. Her production credits include pioneering interactive documentaries Welcome to Pine Point, Circa 1948, Seven Digital Deadly Sins and Bear 71. Janine’s work has received dozens of awards including a Cannes Cyber Lion, FWA Site of the Year and multiple Webby Awards.
Prior to the NFB, Janine was a Business Analyst with the Canadian funding agency Creative BC, where she was instrumental in establishing industry leading digital and interactive media funding programs for film and digital media makers.
