All submissions will be reviewed thoroughly and carefully by our team of international selectors. These experts from around the world join in the discussion that leads up to IDFA’s final selection. The selection process is overseen by IDFA’s artistic director.

IDFA is the leading festival for the art of documentary film and new media. Every November, the festival presents a trend-setting program of 250 selected titles in six competitions, several thematic sections, a physical exhibition, and a range of live performances. The twelve-day event annually welcomes some 295,000 visits, 3,000 professionals, and 40,000 students to Amsterdam, making it the largest and most influential documentary film festival in the world.
