    Everything you need to know about getting tickets to IDFA 2019

    General ticket sales for IDFA 2019 start on November 7 at 9:00 am via the website and app (iOS and Android). IDFA Friends, guests, and relations can purchase tickets starting November 4 at 12:00 noon. Read more about buying tickets, Box Offices, prices, and discounts below.

    Buy a Discount Pass

    Are you planning to attend more than four screenings? In that case, before you order your tickets, buy an IDFA Discount Pass (in Dutch, the Voordeelpas) for only €12.50. The discounted price is listed alongside the regular rates.

    Buying tickets online

    • Go to IDFA.nl or download the IDFA app, then log in with your MyIDFA account.

    • Are you planning to see more than four films? By a Discount Pass first.

    • Find the film you wish to see using the search feature or through the Program Schedule, create a MyIDFA account and purchase your tickets.

    • Payments can be made using iDeal or a creditcard.

    • You will receive an e-ticket or an invoice. If you receive an invoice you can use this to pick up your ticket at a festival box office.

    • If you have purchased a Discount Pass, your ticket will be uploaded to that pass.

    Festival Box Offices

    During the festival you can also buy tickets at the ticket offices in the various theaters.The festival ticket offices in Pathé de Munt and Pathé Tuschinski Arthouse are open during the festival from 9:00 am until 15 minutes after the start of the last screening of the day. On Wednesday, November 20, only the festival box office in Pathé Tuschinski Arthouse is open.

    The ticket offices in EYE, De Brakke Grond, Het Ketelhuis, De Kleine Komedie, De Balie, Carré, Podium Mozaïek, Kriterion, Rialto, Pakhuis de Zwijger and De Tolhuistuin are open from one hour before the start of the first performance.

    For the performances in the Bijlmer Parktheater, LUX Nijmegen, and Groninger Forum, tickets can only be purchased at the box office of the location in question. The pricing policy of the relevant theaters also applies here. The Disount Pass, for example, is not valid here.

    At all festival ticket offices, you can only pay by debit or credit card.

    Having trouble during the order process? Please e-mail kassainfo@idfa.nl. The help desk can be reached by telephone at: 020 -26 20 760. The telephone help desk is available from November 5 to November 20 from 12:00-17:00 hours. From November 21 to December 1 the help desk is available from 9:00-17:00 hours. On November 4, the help desk will be open from 9:00-17:00 hours.

    The films in the program are English spoken or English subtitled.

    Prices and discounts

    The discount rate is valid with an IDFA Discount Pass, a student pass, a CJP Youth pass or an Amsterdam City Pass, and can be found on the website below the regular rate.

    IDFA Discount Pass (for 1 person) € 12,50 BankGiro Loterij VIP-card holders Holders of an BankGiro Loterij VIP Card can order a maximum of four free tickets for any regular screening and a maximum of four tickets for the IDFA in Carré screenings, subject to availability.
