16:00-17:00 Think Tank – What collaborations can bring the genre forward?
Producing documentaries for children and youth comes with its own sets of hurdles, but also a range of possibilities. This panel will explore what role strategic international partnerships can have in furthering the genre as a whole. Arranged in collaboration with DAE – Documentary Association of Europe, who recently launched an initiative among its membership focusing on children’s documentaries, the practical starting point for the panel is to map support structures that exist internationally and filling some of the knowledge gap that exists, while looking at successful case studies that can inspire.
