POLISH DOCS PRO showcase presents five of the most interesting Polish creative documentary projects in progress. The Meetup consists of project pitches developed at DOC LAB POLAND—the biggest documentary program in Poland. These projects include:
Escape to the Silver Globe by Kuba Mikurda: A documentary about Andrzej Żuławski and the greatest secret—and the biggest, unfulfilled dream of Polish cinema.
The Daughter of Fuji by Eri Mizutani: A teacher of a dance for Fuji who breaks the conspiracy of silence among Japanese women and opposes the local community and culture.
I Am One Of Them by Nadim Suleiman: Syrian immigrant shoots a film about a Polish nationalist which brings two people together, telling the story of an almost impossible friendship.
Until the Wedding by Daniel Stopa: Bittersweet depiction of a mature marriage which son’s wedding is a pretext for the elderly couple to look back on their life together.
The presentation is followed by individual meetings with the decision makers in order to find partners, sales agents and international festival premieres.
