Results for IBF Europe Distribution Support
October 18, 2016 | The IDFA Bertha Fund has concluded the final selection round of 2016. Three documentaries will receive grants through the IBF Europe scheme for distribution support: The Grown-Ups by Maite Alberdi (Chile), Machines by Rahul Jain (India) and China’s Van Goghs by Haibo Yu & Kiki Tianqi Yu (China).
All three films are screening at IDFA this year. The Grown-Ups
have been selected for the IDFA Competition for Feature-Length Documentary
, while China's Van Goghs
is screening in the Panorama
For the September 2016 round, the fund considered five projects for the Distribution of International Co-productions category. All projects in this category have a director from a developing country and are realized through international co-productions in which at least one European and one non-European producer is involved. The selected documentaries have innovative distribution plans for at least three different territories. In total, an amount of €90,000 was granted to three projects.
