For the first time, Het Documentaire Paviljoen joins the Amsterdam Student Film Festival as one of its five venues.
The program Shedding Soft Teeth opens towards filmmaking as a home-making and place-making practice, as a way to negotiate reality through creation in order to find belonging. Inhabiting thematic, narrative, and stylistic thresholds, the eight films composing this program sustain a constellation of struggles and aspirations accompanying trajectories of coming of age. They are permeated by a myriad of searches for ways of being in the world, being together, and being within oneself.

About the Amsterdam Student Film Festival
The Amsterdam Student Film Festival began in 2022 as an initiative by a group of students, in a film club named CUT at Amsterdam Unviersity College, with the desire to create a space where student filmmakers could meet, connect, and showcase their work. The festival focuses on experimental, non-commercial films by emerging makers, offering students a professional platform to present their work on the big screen while fostering an inclusive and supportive creative community.
