TRAVELLER'S NOTEBOOK is an account of the trip Joris Ivens made when he visited Cuba in 1961. It shows many aspects of the post-revolution country: its education, culture, health care, defence, agriculture, industry, and political organization. The documentary reflects the euphoria of the first years after the Cuban revolution.
