Festival history

Alice in the land is the improbable and admirable story of an Aymara girl who every end of the year walks 180 km. from Soniquera, her hometown in the south of Bolivia, to go to work at San Pedro de Atacama, in the north of Chile. Constrained by the hard situation of her family, Alice embarks on a trip of unreal characteristics, walking trough valleys, saltpans and deserts, following the invisible path which thousands of others Aymara lead for centuries.
