Tales of Animals

They are a merry crowd, the three men that are responsible for the care of the elephants in a Russian zoo. They sit at a table, talk about their work and bring back memories of yesteryear. Their work is fairly simple. The cages must be cleaned and the big ponderous animals must be fed. Still, the job has its dangers. A few years ago, a new zookeeper got jammed between two elephants and died.The enjoyable gathering of the animal keepers, of course enlivened by singing and the necessary drinks, is alternated with images of the elephants. The pigs also have to be taken care of. One of the men explains why he has a soft spot for these animals. Their light-hearted chat is overshadowed by the sad fact that one of the three caretakers has been fired recently.
