Against the background of the festivities around the eighth edition of the Cannabis Cup ? an annual manifestation in Amsterdam that propagates the wholesome effects of marihuana ? the film attacks the stereotypical representation of the use of marihuana. In interviews with some of the 1500 participants in the Cannabis Cup ("I went from coffeeshop to coffeeshop", the filmmaker says) the rooted prejudices are shattered. The film also searches an explanation for the strong political resistance against marihuana and concludes that it probably lies in the fear for truly free citizens.
