Festival history
Kafi is a young man from the Nuba mountains in Sudan. He travels to Khartoum, up north, to look for a job so that he can buy his second wife, Tete, a new dress. On the road he commits his feelings and thoughts to a small tape recorder that he took along. His monologue is the soundtrack of the film. It offers the spectator an opportunity to follow this young Sudanese's way of thinking, to share his worries, and to hear the story of his double marriage 'from within'.
