Time on Earth

With reference to a short article on ‘Trailer Grannies’, the filmmakers couple Mortin & Fogliato became very interested in the large group of elderly people who at a high age choose to travel across the United States in trailers. In TIME ON EARTH three of these so-called ‘Trailer Grannies’ are portrayed: 64-year-old Dorothy and 66-year-old Charmaine from Ontario and 74-year-old Jack from Texas. They are followed during their journeys along the North-American highways, during which they tell about their lives. They reminisce about the old days and recount cheerful and less cheerful experiences, like the loss of a child and the loss of a beloved wife.
