Naomi’s mother is manic-depressive. Despite this, Naomi’s life looks like that of any other teenager reaching puberty. She is not ashamed for her mother anymore, although she feels that her situation is none of other people’s business. The documentary combines interviews with Naomi – who also talks about her absent father and her fear of inheriting the disorder – and her mother with recording of the daily life at home, at school, in the street and in the disco pool. The film is an episode from the VPRO series EN TERECHT, which is based on the UN Convention for the Rights of the Child.
