We kick off the year with some great news! IDFA DocLab and partners have received a grant for two years of research in the field of immersive experience.

Over the next two years, IDFA DocLab will be joining forces with immersive experience artists, producers and researchers from multiple institutes to make immersive experiences more sustainable, accessible and engaging for audiences. This is made possible by Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie and the grant scheme that is part of the Creative Industries Immersive Coalition (CIIIC), the Nationaal Groeifonds program of the Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap in the field of Immersive Experiences (IX).

A big win-win for makers and their audiences, bringing them closer together with outstanding immersive work!

Shared Realities

The project is called Shared Realities and is led by IDFA DocLab, with research support from Hogeschool van Amsterdam, production by POPKRAFT and artistic input from Dutch makers including Ado Ato Pictures (Tamara Shogaolu), Ali Eslami, Polymorf, Studio Biarritz, and WeMakeVR.com, the program is further supported by exhibition and distribution partners ARTIS PlanetariumNu:Reality, IMM-PACT, and international research collaboration with MIT Open Documentary Lab.
