IDFA DocLab, together with the UK's Immersive Storytelling Studio (The National Theatre), presents the online performance T.M. by Belgian theater group Ontroerend Goed.
With T.M., Ontroerend Goed creates an online one-on-one performance about conspiracy and fear, arising from contemporary issues such as media manipulation, populist thought, and conspiracy theories. An individual performance in the form of an intake interview, T.M. sees the participant reflect on their own feelings of powerlessness while the viewer is confronted with a mirror of their personal world view. The result is a one-of-a-kind performance with a particular focus on connecting with the other. Tickets are still available for the April 21 online premiere and other dates in multiple countries.
IDFA DocLab is supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy of the Netherlands, CLICKNL, Gieskes-Strijbis Fonds, Netherlands Film Fund, Flanders Audiovisual Fund, VIVE, VIVEPORT, and Special Friends+.
DocLab research collaboration partners are MIT Open Documentary Lab, Beeld en Geluid, ARTIS-Planetarium, CreativeXR, Diversion cinema, Het Nieuwe Instituut, POPKRAFT, The Immersive Storytelling Studio (National Theatre), and Tolhuistuin.
