Kill Your Darlings: Siberian Love

With a heavy heart, filmmakers delete scenes they love - because they don't fit the story or don't really add anything for instance. Watch a deleted scene from Siberian Love.

Director Olga Delane: 'Children mean happiness to Natasha. She has eight children. She also has a step-granddaughter, whose parents got divorced and moved to different cities. She has to raise the children all alone, because her husband drinks instead of taking responsibility as a man and father.

But one day, Natasha's happiness was destroyed. One of her sons hung himself two years ago. She blames herself for that, because she did not look after him.
Despite the fact her story as a mother is very interesting, we decided to leave her out of the film, because there are too many stories in one. It would not make the film more impressive, but only confuse the viewer. And if we shortened the story, Natasha would lose her value.'
