Description
To wrap up the list of 60 best Dutch documentaries of all time, Volkskrant presents a day with four of the best documentaries with introductions and Q&A's. This is a Dutch spoken program, so you can find more information on the Dutch side of the website where the full program will be announced once the full list has been published mid-August.
The day takes place from 10:30 to 17:30 with enough breaks for lunch and snacks.

Dutch U.N. soldiers speak about their experiences in various conflict areas around the world. The vehicle for their recollections is the music they played at the time, which has become forever tied to their memories of war.
Blind Kind
In Blind Child, Johan van der Keuken shows how blind young people use hearing and touch to make sense of the world around them. His associative editing immerses the viewer in their experience of reality.
Stand van de maan
Experimenting with inventive camera positions, Retel Helmrich’s award-winning film shows the Sjamsuddin family trying to survive in a rapidly changing world, while the grandmother decides to leave the hectic city behind.
Weemoed & Wildernis
A poignant reflection on mutability and transience. The island of Tiengemeten, home territory to director Digna Sinke, is to be returned to nature. She wistfully traces the changes in the landscape as well as her own life.
