Festival history
Malcolm Lowry, hitherto the subject of at least 4 biographies, a film, and approximately 147 theses, is portrayed here in a form which goes slightly further than the biographical form. A very close examination is conducted on the mesmeric and terrifying journey through the nightmare of the writer of . It looks at Lowry's psyche and follows him to four countries where he had made friends and enemies. People who knew him are interviewed and this intensifies the image of a writer who courted death with alcohol, until his body could not take it anymore.
