Festival history
Giorgio Armani, the world famous fashion designer who is in charge of 3,000 employees in 249 stores in 33 countries, is a perfectionist. Before fashion shows, he meticulously checks everybody’s make-up and, when visiting one of his stores, he cannot suppress the urge to check whether the windows have been cleaned. In GIORGIO ARMANI: A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, we follow one fashion season for the Italian: from New York to Milan, Paris and London for the different shows. On the eve of his fashion house’s twenty-fifth anniversary, Armani contemplates his life and career. The film also introduces admirers - Sophia Loren, Anna Wintour and Donna Karan - who make interesting analyses of Armani’s success. ‘His shyness has made him great’, one of them says. Armani is extremely shy and, like many shy people, he feels most at ease in his work, surrounded by people he knows.
