What is a fascist? All Against All investigates this question on the basis of pre-war fascism in the Netherlands. This is an unknown history of constant intrigue, schisms and mergers and countless small führers with large egos. Eventually this comical mess developed into a violent machinery. Flying over the Netherlands, the documentary visits curious places and artifacts of Dutch fascism. We meet people who deal with this history in different ways, from amateur historians to philosophers. Without making explicit connections, the film mirrors the present to the past. Part history, past essay, the film shows the mechanism radicalizing nationalist feelings.
