Slovenian director Janja Glogovac, born at the time when Josip Broz Tito died, examines what kind of man Marshal Tito was. She speaks to various people who worked for him: a biochemist whose job was to test and analize the food the Yugoslavian president ate, the tailor who made sure that Tito got the best fabrics for his suits, the musician who played for the president and his guests, the chief of protocol who describes Tito’s passion for movies and his meetings with Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and many other people. Without coming out in favour of or against the late Yugoslavian president or his regime, the director gives us an inside view into the personality of a man who has made his mark the history of the 20th century. Through interviews and archive footage, we are let in on some previously hidden episodes from both his private and public life.
