Shungu: The Resilience of a People

Zimbabwe - Democracy in the Balance is the working title of a documentary film in progress which follows the lives of ordinary Zimbabweans as their country experiences political turmoil and spirals into economic meltdown. The film follows a former ally of Robert Mugabe who runs against him for the presidency, and several Zimbabweans from different backgrounds to reveal what coping mechanisms people use to survive in one of Africa's most controversial dictatorships.
