Festival history
Campaign by the American government to provide the rural population with electricity. Farmer Bill Parkinson and his family lead a tough existence, but thanks to the arrival of affordable electricity, supplied by the government, their lives become far more agreeable. (This film is not part of the programme 'Joris Ivens: the nitrate collection'. This film was added by Mrs. Loridan-Ivens in order to present a more complete concept of his body of works.)
