In order to optimize production levels, the meat processing industry pulls a large number of living beings into its standardized mass production processes. At a community organization helping people find jobs, asylum seekers are offered work in factory slaughterhouses. The job might give them a chance for a fresh start, after having left everything behind. On a factory farm, cows, pigs and farmers are all bound by the frantic pace of the industrial agricultural model. Outside, the corn grown to feed the animals pierces through the arid desert soil. Resources shows a state of precarity shared across the boundaries of species.
