On offer for accredited professionals at IDFA 2020

In light of the pandemic, we have ensured that international professionals can experience IDFA entirely online. As much as we would like to receive our international guests in person, we would like to invite you to an online festival this year. Nevertheless, you can rightfully expect IDFA to have a lot to offer you. And we do: IDFA Forum, Docs for Sale, IDFAcademy, and the Industry Program will move completely online this year. The film and new media programs will have a hybrid form, however, all on-site screenings and events will be geared towards local audiences in Amsterdam. Read more about what to expect below.

We wish we could see you in Amsterdam, but with your health and safety as top priority, we have prepared an extensive online program for you. As an accredited guest, you can still access films in the program, take part in inspiring talks and debates, network with industry leaders, and lots more.

    • Press & Industry Library - watch films selected for the IDFA 2020 program online, on-demand from November 18 until December 6
    • IDFA Forum & DocLab Forum - observers will get the chance to attend the pitches and get insight on up-to-date market and industry developments, as well as documentary films and new media projects that are coming to cinemas and festivals in the near future. They will also be able to consult with a wide and varied range of industry professionals and experts
    • Docs for Sale - accredited users can access online Docs for Sale catalogue for the whole year. IDFA will connect producers and sales agents with a film in the Docs for Sale catalogue to potential buyers in pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings
    • IDFAcademy - selected emerging filmmakers will take part in an intensive training program with highly esteemed documentary professionals
    • Industry program - in-depth market insight on a diverse range of topics with:
      • Talks
      • Sessions and other panel discussions
      • Presentations of Delegations' Projects
      • Producers Network
    • Social events - catch up and network with other guests
