General Terms and Conditions
This website is being offered to you by the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (hereinafter referred to as “IDFA”). The following Terms and Conditions are applicable to the Content and use of the IDFA website. By making use of the IDFA website, the website visitor (hereafter referred to as “User”) agrees to these terms and conditions.

User
The User may only consult and use the website and the information, programming, services and additional content that IDFA and third parties offer via the website (hereinafter “Content”) for informational objectives. It is prohibited to use the website and its Content in any way that could cause harm to other internet users or IDFA, or that could be detrimental to the proper functioning of the website or the Content. It is strictly prohibited to make use of areas of the website that are not publicly accessible, whether by using a false identity or by circumventing the security measures IDFA has in place.

Correctness and completeness
Though IDFA strives to provide correct and up-to-date information, IDFA cannot guarantee that the Content is correct and complete at the time the User consults the website, or that the Content is still correct and complete as time goes on. Moreover, no rights or responsibilities may be derived from the Content.

IDFA is not responsible for (a) damage that results from Content that is incorrect, incomplete or unavailable; (b) damage that results from using the Content; and/or (c) damage that results from problems caused by, or inherently part of, the dissemination of information on the internet. These problems can include malfunctions, interruptions, mistakes or delays in providing information or services by IDFA or by the User for IDFA, either on the IDFA website or through another electronic means.

Availability
IDFA does its utmost to make its website and Content available as often as possible, but accepts no responsibility for any situations in which the website and/or Content (or portions thereof) are rendered unavailable for any length of time.

Hyperlinks
Hyperlinks on IDFA’s website can lead to websites and/or servers that are maintained by individuals or enterprises other than IDFA. IDFA offers no guarantees and accepts no responsibility with respect to the Content on such websites and/or servers.

Intellectual property rights
The intellectual property rights on the website and the various elements of the Content, including text, photographs, word marks, logos and the graphic design of the website, are the sole property of IDFA and/or its licensees. It is strictly forbidden to reproduce or publicize the Content without prior written content from IDFA.

IDFA reserves the right to object to the placement of links to its website, in particular to other parts of the website than the home page (deep links), and links that allow internet users to see the IDFA website in a frame within another page (framed links).

Data submitted by you
IDFA cannot guarantee that emails or other electronic messages sent through the website will be received and processed in a timely manner, and accepts no responsibility for the consequences resulting from the delay or failure to receive or process said messages.

The User agrees that IDFA may freely use the information it receives from the User, and the User ensures that said information does not violate the rights of any third party. The personal data provided by the User is processed in accordance with our Privacy Statement.

IDFA reserves the right to change the information provided by the User, and/or to remove it in its entirety from the website, if said information is in conflict with the law, the interests of other internet users, other third parties or IDFA’s General Terms and Conditions.

Purchases
Purchased tickets cannot be returned. They are not covered by the legal seven-working day approval period within which a purchase can be cancelled.

Changes
IDFA reserves the right to change the content of its website and these General Terms and Conditions, either in part or in their entirety, without prior warning.

Applicable law and competent court
These General Terms and Conditions and the use of the IDFA website are subject to Dutch law. Disputes that concern these General Terms and Conditions and/or the use of the IDFA website are to be settled exclusively by the competent court in Amsterdam.
