Weapons Makeup is the first edit of a film under development.
Synopsis
During the early 90's Argentina sent bombs and peace missions to former Yugoslavia. Soldiers erased the Argentinian shield and serial number to hide the origin of the weapons. This technique was called “weapons makeup”. In 1995 the government and army provoked an explosion in the military factory to hide evidence of the illegal weapon trade, and twenty thousand projectiles fell on the small town that produced the weapons. Looking for material about the destination of the bombs that were produced in her hometown, the director finds video letters that a soldier sent from the border between Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia to his family in Bolivia and Argentina. Love letters from the war. Thirty years later his family prepares a ritual for his death. A reflection about home movies, family, hidden pains and the traces of violence in our personal lives.
