The individual lives of refugees often remain invisible behind the fierce political debate on migration. In the new edition of De Groene Filmclub, De Groene Amsterdammer will show Ukrainian director Alina Gorlova's This Rain Will Never Stop (2020). The film tells the moving story of a Syrian family that flees the war and is dispersed across several countries, one of them ending up in another war in Ukraine.

After the screening, De Groene Amsterdammer-editor Irene van der Linde will be in conversation with journalist Yaghoub Sharhani and lecturer Martijn Stronks about the challenges faced when having to build a new life in a foreign place.
