A rare screening of Ouarzazate Movie (2001), introduced by director Ali Essafi (Before the Dying of the Light). The Moroccan dessert of Ouarzazate formed the backdrop to countless Hollywood blockbusters, such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy and Gladiator.

The film offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at Hollywood productions in the Moroccan desert town of Ouarzazate, exposing the contrast between the glittering allure of big studios and the reality and impact of Western imperialism behind the scenes. Ali Essafi will be present to introduce the film in person!
