Three Miles North of Molkom
Once a year, deep in the lakeside forests of Sweden, an alternative gathering is held at the Ängsbacka Commune, known as the No Mind Festival. Upon arrival, the one thousand international participants are divided into small Sharing Groups at random and together these groups of strangers partake in an often comic, two-week intensive program of soul-searching Shamanic rituals, Tantric Sex, Fire-Walking and many other unusual workshops and adult games. For , the directors followed one such group made up, in part, by a Swedish celebrity, a Californian hippie, a Finnish grandmother and a back-packing Australian rugby coach called Nick, who had absolutely no idea of the emotional journey he was letting himself in for. In contrast to some of the other more far-out and willing characters in the group, Nick is shocked and challenged into opening up and realising that there is more to life and the other characters than he had thought. In this atmosphere of freedom and striking honesty, the camera captures the characters' most intimate moments and conversations. The event itself is merely a backdrop to this portrait of seven characters' journeys to find their inner selves.
