Das Sowjet-Paradies
The Soviet Paradise

While German travel agencies show a Soviet paradise to the people, the NSDAP makes propaganda for another picture of the Soviet Union. The title of this film is rather cynical: it refers to the backward Russia. When they invaded Russia in 1941, the German soldiers encountered mothers with sick babies, neglected houses, farmers working like slaves, and more sorrow and misery.
The NSDAP had a clear purpose for this film. When the spectator leaves the cinema, he should be pleased to belong to the chosen 'Herrenvolk'. The so-called 'terror gang' of Jewish Bolsheviks is alleged to be the creator of all this misery, and should therefore be subordinated to this 'Herrenvolk'.
