Cows and People

A man, a woman and two cows are living together on a small farm in Sweden. It is a farm like a doll‘s house: two red-coloured buildings in a vast green field between the hills, where the next living soul lives miles away. The children of the old farmers have already left, and the two stay-behinds are now forced to sell their precious cows. This poetic film sketches their life in the country in a series of picturesque ‘still lives‘. It is clear that in these people‘s lives, where hardly a blade of grass has moved in dozens of years, a veritable earthquake will soon take place.
