In Brest-Litovsk, on the border between Poland and Byelorussia, the European railway track ends. Beyond this city the track is 89 millimetre wider. In order to enable a number of international trains to pass this point daily, workers have to change a few thousands of wheels under the railway carriages. Travellers from France, Germany, Holland and other countries watch the work from behind the windows.
