Festival history

Don and Jerry are two factory workers from Michigan with the same dream. They hope that once they will be able to produce their own low-budget horror movie. With the aid of filmmakers Joel DeMott and Jeff Kreines the fulfilment of their dream finally draws near. To fund the film, they have flogged their furniture and Jerry has cut off his middle finger, by way of an ‘industrial accident’. That brought in 8000 dollars, a fine start. Joel DeMott (Washington) studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was tutored by Richard Leacock. Since 1973 he works together with Jeff Kreines, ‘so that one can film the male standpoint and the other the female.‘
