"It sucks. Is that all? Is that what everyone talks about? It sucks!" This is what one of the ladies in the short, artistic documentary has to say about her first time. For another, losing her virginity was the most exciting experience of her life, and she discusses it openly without sparing the details. For all those men out there who want to hear how women talk to each other about sex -- this is the film for you. The three Frenchwomen Elise, Morgan, and Jessica chat offscreen about their sexual experiences, ultimate orgasms, and preferences in the bedroom, giggling all the while. Together with the conversations, debuting filmmaker Cécile Mille placed portraits of random men she filmed on the streets of Paris. Young, old, dark, white; various sorts of guys spend 10 seconds looking stoically into the camera while the viewer hears the women saying things like "Everybody should masturbate, it is so important." We get the impression that the gentlemen are seriously listening, or perhaps they're the topic of conversation themselves. Mille films them in as non-erotic a fashion as possible; in their winter coats on a Parisian street, they are clearly outside the realm of female intimacies. The men's expressions evoke a sense of voyeurism, even though none of the women are onscreen.
