A celebration of ambiguity in life, tech, and art.
Since 2007, IDFA's new media program has been pushing the boundaries of the documentary genre with interactive technology, virtual reality, and live performance. In celebration of its 15th anniversary this year, IDFA DocLab physically returns to Amsterdam with the Liminal Reality program, plus additional activities online and in virtual reality.
IDFA DocLab is supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy of the Netherlands, CLICKNL, Gieskes-Strijbis Fonds, Netherlands Film Fund, Flanders Audiovisual Fund, VIVE, VIVEPORT, A Lab and Special Friends+.
DocLab research collaboration partners include MIT Open Documentary Lab, Beeld en Geluid, ARTIS-Planetarium, CreativeXR, Diversion cinema, Het Nieuwe Instituut, National Film Board of Canada, POPKRAFT, The Immersive Storytelling Studio (National Theatre), Cie Gilles Jobin, Tolhuistuin and Flemish Cultural Center de Brakke Grond.
