Lotus Ferry

A pair of brother and sister who runs barbershop; an old man who looks like a vagrant but can speak fluent English, a busy young man who runs a fruit shop for a whole day, etc. They all live in a place called “Dongjia Ferry” in Shanghai. They didn’t know each other although they often run into each other. They are all busy with their life. “Dongjia Ferry” is actually a residence area around this ferry. There are an old factory, an oldest church in Shanghai, an underground theater, a long street and a few old houses. They are also part of Shanghai. This film “Lotus Ferry” shows us a changing modern China, and the joy and pain in their ordinary life.
