Het Documentaire Paviljoen: De Spiegel
Return in Fragmentsis a lyrical and open-ended cinematic proposal—part essay, part testimony—composed of filmic fragments that shift between Syria, Germany, and the Netherlands. Drawing from personal memory, archival media, and performative gestures, the work explores what it means to return politically and emotionally after exile.
The screening includes a 24-minute film followed by a live reflection or conversation. This evolving research resists closure, embracing the incomplete as method. Each fragment functions as a cinematic threshold—between places, times, and selves.
A gesture of mourning and witness, Return in Fragments asks: what does it mean to come back when the place you left has also become a memory?
